Hurray for Spring!

Prints are available. Please note me if you are interested ^^

In celebration of our trees finally blooming after an unexpected blizzard, I decided to draw a flowy green tiger.

I was inspired by the veins running through leaves. This is what happens when I let my imagination take over and don’t use any references. I’ve been in a heavy reference mode lately so this was a great picture to loosen up with.

And the tigers…will be at our zoo soon! I can’t wait!!!!!!!!!! I’ve been planting small trees and different things in the exhibit and it’s starting to take form.

Thank you for taking a peak everyone ^^

Mediums used: Watercolor pencils and Inktense pencils on Acrylic Paper.

This reminded me of why I love green color so much! :aww:
Aw, spring hit us rather quickly too. It makes me happy.
And I love tigers too... and now I see a green tiger. Perfect. :XD:

It's weird, the plants you drew here look like fire... but at the same time sorta juicy as well. It's got a lot of life energy in it anyway.
It's very fun to look at. Especially the legs and feet.

Fantastic work as always!

I think this turned out really well! Especially considering you didn't use a reference. (I can't draw big cats without a reference to save my life D8< )

"Like one who, on a lonely road,
Doth walk in fear and dread,
And having once turned round, walks on,
And turns no more his head;
Because he knows a frightful fiend
Doth close behind him tread."

It's beautiful. I'd love to see more of the InkTense work. I've been curious -- what size set did you end up getting? I have the set of twelve, which is a nice selection of colors. Did you splurge and get the huge set (I think it's seventy-two pencils)?

Wow, this is beautiful. I was going to write a critique but I can find nothing to critique enough to write anything too long. :P It's very well done to be made without references, I love the eyes and the tiger's face. The only thing I might suggest it perhaps some darker colors, maybe a blue-green or a pale purple-gray sort of color to darken some places; I know the idea is to show the extreme green but some other color could take the edge off just a tiny bit. Still, it is a very beautiful piece!

Absolutely gorgeous. The range of greens is fabulous, and I like how it fades out at the top.
Just wonderful. =)
