Stranger from the Desert

Elinis awoke the next morning to the sound of yelling coming outside of her tent. At first she thought it was a nightmare of the torture taking place back in her homeland, but then she soon recognized the yells as belonging to the stranger that had healed her before.

Wounded

Sharp rocks were everywhere on the dry, cracked ground, and the smaller ones found their way between the young woman’s toes. A sharp pain caused her to lift her weight off of her right foot. In doing so she lost her balance and landed on the harsh dry ground covered in sand and desert rocks. She looked up to see her bodyguard’s outstretched hand.
“Are you alright?” He asked in a tired voice.
“Yes, thank you.” The woman on the ground was brought to her feet again with the help of the man’s strength.

...Climbing embers spiral between the crevasses, breaking the threshold of roots. A breathing rhythm chases between bark and vines. The Fire Spirits left nothing but their pulsing hoof prints in the ground as they fled into the woods, echoing after a storm far greater than themselves…

It’s been a while since I posted something here. School and work have been keeping me super busy. I started this drawing a looooong time ago and finally got the chance to finish it. It’s so big that I had to scan it in 5 different ways and paste the images together in ps. Working with larger paper sizes helps me get the details I want thought
