Burn...
Thought I’d challenge myself and draw a more dynamic pose. This was extremely fun to work on, and with colors I don’t usually use. More experimenting!  Horses have a pad on the bottom of their feet called the frog. It’s always looked like a heart and for me it symbolizes the magnificent pulsing energy of this animal. This was done in watercolor pencils on 90 lb. paper. It took me a week to find the courage to apply water to it since 90 lb. paper buckles really bad. I had to be careful not to saturate the paper, which was all a great learning experience. Flames are so unpredictable-I usually end up drawing them like branches or leaves. Enjoy! We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
