_Dream Catcher_

I’m going through another Art Nouveau phase. You can have so much fun with the different line thicknesses. I like the whole concept of working with outline and then connecting swirly patterns.

This picture is a perfect example of how an artist can use a reference to enhance your level of creativity. I’d had a dream of some strange character and wanted to illustrate him. He had HUGE HAIR and long fingers that he uses to catch dreams and place his hair, which can spread out like a spiderweb. Freaky!!!

Absolutely inspiring! The profile is so wonderful and clean. I wanted to see how crazy I could go with the hair. I’ve learned a lot from this picture.

Mediums used: Ink, ballpoint pen, white prismacolor pencil on cardboard. Tablet and ps used for different colors.
