This was done in class, another design for a race called Eckos. I'm getting very creative with the headdress! I'll give more of a description of Eckos in a future submission, but here goes for this guy.
Eckos (beings of pure silence)
This Ecko is one meeting with his friends at their sound assembly-where everyone is required to cover their eyes and rely only on their ears. It is a form of respect, to cover the eyes and listen to your neighbor.
It's sort of funny, because they go out of their way to get all dressed up, only to have a blindfold on the entire time. Irony is good
Character (c) to Amanda Klammer Enjoy! Mediums used: HB pencil, Ink on drawing paper
Oh wow, i love the concept :3 To be blindfolded to better listen to your neighbor, and to not see the exquisite headdresses everyone puts on X3 Eckos sound like very cool people!
It also fascinates me how the blindfold melts together with the headdress and the lineart.
That's just beautiful, and the Eckos sound so interesting.

Around 3 hours total. At first it was just going to stay a graphite piece, but then my pens were there so I decided to have fun with them. Contrast is something I'm trying to get better at.

Can't wait to tell more about the characters! It's fun when you can come up with background info for characters

A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

98% of deviants don't know the difference between "your" and "you're". If you're one of the 2% that does, copy and paste this into your signature.
