A Living Forestby *Aikya

Work in Progress...I still don't know if I will ever finish this piece.

This has been in my closet for the past year. It's a a concept illustration for my story about an organic library and the living forest that surrounds it. The forest animals help protect stories and recycle the ones that are abandoned by humanity.

There are deer, squirrels, rabbits and some birds that have yet to be drawn. The stag and doe merge with each other because they are one living entity.

It's about 3 feet long by 2 feet high. Mostly done with watercolor pencils. References were used for some of the animal poses for accuracy.

The scenery is so full of life, it vibrates through every pigment of color, every line you drew here. I can imagine this warm, lively forest in movement, and this movement is fast yet very fluent and smooth.
I can´t wait to see the whole painting the day it´s finished. I hope you will finish it

A beautiful piece for sure. I love the movement and the shapes that the tree makes. I hope you will finish it one day. It would be a shame not to. It's got so much going for it. But of course, as the artist, it's entirely up to you.
